Immigration has informed us that we must fax them a full passenger roster for each guest entering Canada on a bus. Any existing DWI, felony, assault or arrest record, no matter how old the violation or what it was even if it is expunged in the USA, will still show up in the record of Canada. If you have any doubts on any violation call Canada Immigration at 1-807-274-3655 ext 239 or 240 or Doug our Noto Association Rep at 705-472-5552 Ext. 23 or his cell 705-588-4989.

FELONIES, ASSAULT, D.W.I AND ANY OTHER CHARGES
Any criminal offense, D.W.I. (which is a felony in Canada), assault charges of any kind and any ohter charges that you might have had in your lifetime must be addressed with the Canadian Immigration office before you try to enter Canada. NO MATTER HOW OLD!!

Even if you had the charges expunged, thrown out of court, dismissed, etc. No matter what the end result was on your case, you may still have a record that shows up at the border crossings. You must try to see if you are admissable to Canada by doing paper work on the internet, or you can call our Noto Association Rep Doug at 705-472-5552 Ext. 23, or his cell # 705-688-4989. He will be happy to go over any offense with you, but you must be honest with him and tell him all the facts. If he does not have all the facts then you can be put off the bus, or not let through the border if you drive.

You can also contact Kevin at Immigration at 807-274-3655 ext 239 or 240. He has offered to help people with any type of offense no matter if it is 50 years old.

It is a long wait at the border for other guests while someone who did no contact Immigration about their issues before arriving at the border is pulled into the office.

They are able to know before you get to the border if you have an offense or have had one, because I am required to send a full roster of eveyone's names coming on a trip to the lodge alond with the dates of birth and phone numbers. This gives them the information they need to do a criminal back ground check on the full roster.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. They are trying to work with use and make the system more lenient for you.
